Ceremony @ The Old Decatur Courthouse + Reception @ Ecco
anddddd guest starring The Georgian Terrace Hotel
So I have a secret favorite day. It’s Thursday.
Thursday is amazing. Thursday is great. Tomorrow is Friday and the world is at peace. Seriously I love Thursday (and I probably should have posted this on Thursday, but I am way too eager.) And just in case you haven’t guessed it by now, this wedding happened on a Thursday. It was small, it was intimate, it was so sweet at times that I couldn’t even handle it. April and Brian joined their lives in one of the coolest and most creative ways. They kept their guest list super small and did away with the wedding party. Only the nearest and dearest attended. And I honestly think this is the best way to do it. They added cool elements to their day that represented them. They added a Jewish custom to their ceremony, where they and their close friends signed their names in honor of their love.
This day and time I have been all about alternative wedding ideas, trying (ok more like just thinking at this point) to plan a wedding myself. And I think having a intimate wedding on a weekday is one of the best ideas. It has all the romance of an elopement, while still allowing your best friends to be there. Intimate weddings are quickly becoming my favorite type of weddings to shoot, so if you are thinking of planning one hit me up. I offer discounts for smaller weddings and off season days (ie weekdays).
The day was so simple and just so amazing. April got dressed in the Georgian Terrace Hotel. And then we rode over to the Old Decatur Courthouse. I love this venue. You guys know this. It will always be close to my heart. They said their vows, and I just died every time they looked at each other because it was so sweet. And then we headed back over to the Georgian Terrace Hotel to do some portraits. We went on the roof because that’s where Brian proposed. The hotel has a rooftop pool and is like a dream. The hotel itself is like a dream.
It was the perfect Thursday and I feel super honored that April + Brian chose me to capture their special day. Enjoy guys!
